Hi, the link I posted from Howtogeek seems old- I can't find that extension.

    However, Searchbar offers this:
Duck Duck Go and Tor versus Google Chrome and Yahoo-untitled.png

    - click the button on right to launch the bar: note I've added Duckduckgo to the extension (by opening its page and rt clicking in the search field).

You might want to check out Brave.

I downloaded Firefox and it is working quite well.

Firefox and Duck Go Go are my new setup.

It took about 3,4 hours to download everything and get it set up the way I liked it.

Then, I spent the last week tweaking everything. I thought I would never get it the way I wanted.

A few differences.....no bookmark bars, I have to pin tabs....but same results.

I went to settings for FF and finally figured out how to set up the page, eliminating thumbnails and previous pages that I loaded and 'sponsored suggestions' from advertisers.

It does not have the news and weather on the front page that I like, but FF is much smaller than yahoo or Google and part of its attraction to me. They are like the renegades of the IT community.

It might be my imagination but it seems to load new pages faster.

I feel like a rebel now that I am using it. Maybe I'll grow my hair past my ears and hang out at Starbucks with my iPhone now.......lol

I second using Brave browser with Startpage as your search engine and just add starpage to your bookmarks bar.

My 2 main browsers are Comodo ice dragon(Firefox clone) which is marketed to be better, safer & faster than FF and Brave both which use Startpage as my search engine pinned to their respective bookmarks bars.

I would rather see you on FF 65.0, not the Comodo fork or the Chromium based Brave.

    Just my opinion.
