    Scroll wheel changes sites in Edge

    I have recently noticed that when in Edge browser, if I roll the wheel on my mouse, it jumps to previously viewed pages. The only way to stop this is to left click on the page, then I can use the wheel to scroll down the page I'm viewing. Is there a setting somewhere to stop the page "hopping"? Thanks in advance.

    Go into your mouse Settings in the Control Panel and turn off where it says "Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them"

    That setting is already 'off'. I'm pretty sure it's something in Edge since it doesn't happen in IE or Chrome.

    @RichardC

    Try repairing Edge: (Close out Edge)

    In the Search box, type Windows PowerShell and right-click on the result to choose Run as administrator.
    Copy and paste the command below on the Windows PowerShell tool and press Enter:

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}

    Once done, restart your PC to apply changes and check if the issue persists.

    Did as you suggested. It seems to have corrected it, but I'll keep checking and watch closely as to what I'm doing if it happens again. Thanks for you help.

    It started happening again in Edge. Don't know why. Don't know if I did something or what. Still can't figure it out. Maybe it has something to do with the 'tabs that you set aside'. It didn't happen before edge added that.

    I did some research and found a post that stated just the opposite of the above statement. So I went into mouse settings and turned on 'Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them'. So far it seems to have corrected the issue.
