No Sound On Inital View Of Online Videos

Alright, I'm not sure if this is a Firefox or a Windows issue, but when I attempt to watch online videos, whether it be Facebook, YouTube or Twitter, the video plays but there's no sound. I have to restart the video in order to hear the sound. It hasn't always been that way but I'd say it's been like that for about a month now. It's only a minor inconvenience but I'm ready to try to fix it but I'm not sure where I should start at.

Hi, have you tried this with Firefox in its safe mode (no addons)? (If unsure how, Google etc can help).

And does the same happen if you use a different browser?

I think the easiest way to determine whether it's a Firefox issue is to switch to another browser to see if this problem occurs there as well.

Alright, it doesn't seem to be an issue in Chrome, so that means it's a Firefox issue. I'm going to try resetting Firefox and seeing if that fix's the problem.

Well, I refreshed Firefox and that didn't fix my issue. I still have to restart videos to hear the sound.

Have you tried Firefox's safe mode as I suggested yet?
When you have, and if you still have the same problem, I suggest you post on Mozilla's forum for specialist help.

I got it fixed. I had to go in and completely delete Firefox, do a run through of a couple of malware programs and restart my computer. Reinstalled a fresh version of Firefox and problem solved.
