I doubt it, now that I have told the others to turn off the RGB software(at least ASUS's AURA)
One thing to make sure of also,
when AURA is turned off in Windows(so it isn't on at next boot),
make sure it is turned off in BIOS and then save the profile,
as my 5.3 profile has AURA on, I forgot to make sure I turned it off in BIOS and had a frozen Windows load screen.
I'm having bear of time with Aura on my MBs, first it was on Prime x370 pro, I didn't realize it was because of Aura so I RMA-ed MB and than upgraded to Prime x470 pro and lost all lights on MB again after using Aura. Now, when I did clean install of 1809 it suddenly works again.
As that shut the MB lights even without OS present it must be that Aura is messing with BIOS directly and that may be a reason of diminished performance with Aura present. At same time Aura worked and still is working with GPU. I have it set to steady red color to match other lights in the case.
From what I have been able to gather on the net, earlier versions of AURA(earlier this year even) where really buggy.
When the G.Skill Trident Z RGB Series(like I have now) came out, AURA(and G.Skills own RGB software) was corrupting the SPD's on them
That has been fixed now.
But owners would either have to either RMA, or fix it themselves using this: http://www.softnology.biz/
