Isn't the 1% (531.05MB) disk space allocated to system protection here too small for a typical restore point?

Another fish: right-click on the Start button --> Windows PowerShell (Admin)
Run the following command to set the maximum disk space for restore points as 10%.

    CMD /C "vssadmin resize shadowstorage /on=%SystemDrive% /for=%SystemDrive% /maxsize=10%"

It could be better to set it to 10GB

    CMD /C "vssadmin resize shadowstorage /on=%SystemDrive% /for=%SystemDrive% /maxsize=10GB"

Thanks for the new replies from Matthew Wai, NMI, and SIW2. Since all your kind suggestions are to repartition C:, wouldn't it be just as easy to do a clean reinstall from the Creation Media Tool?

Please try increasing the space allocated to System Restore Points to e.g. 10Gb.
Then report the result of trying to create one.

Repartition? I dont think anybody suggested that.

Move the slider across. Then click Apply >OK

Sorry, SIW2, I thought repartitioning was the way to allocate space for restore points. Please tell me what the underlying settings page in your screenshot is and how to get to it. I can't find it. It should come as no surprise, but I am not a techie!
