Up all night trying to get cloned disk to boot....

Initially tried to create image and restore using windows back up tool and ran into problems regarding location being efi and destination is bios or something along those lines after googling how to resolve got nowhere.

Instead Installed macrium and cloned from disk1 (hdd) to Disk 2 (sdd) i plan on keeping both with identical os boots for a very particular reason... so cant just unplug disk 1 or format it to avoid any conflictions both need to be working.

So with both Disk1 and Disk 2 now looking identical in Disk management ... i restart pc and run into a bsod with the error code 0xc000000e i have tried all the usual things that have been suggested with most of them resulting in errors or being unable to carry out the task.

Without going into specific details there is something special about the OS boot i have on disk 1 that i need to replicate and need both to be bootable... i

But really need to get My Os thats on Disk 1 onto Disk 2.

here is a picture of how its currently looking in disk management ive even renamed the OS incase it was causing any conflictions.

    Thanks for any help given.

    See this article from @EdTittel

NVMe Replacement: Cloning vs. Backup Restore

    Same deal for SATA drives.

@SIW2 has some tweaks that might work.

Look for the recent thread he posted in about that.

Open administrative command prompt (ACP) and type or copy and paste:

    Code:
    diskpart
    sel dis 2
    det dis
    lis par
    sel par 2
    det par
    ass let=W:
    lis par
    exit

When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    Copy and paste:
    Code:
    bcdboot C: \windows /s W: /f UEFI

When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

Disconnect cables for drives 0 and 1.

Reboot > see if disk 2 boots.

    More to follow.

    DISKPART> ass let=W:

The arguments specified for this command are not valid.
For more information on the command type: HELP ASSIGN

    DISKPART> help assign

Assigns a drive letter or mounted folder pathname to the volume with focus.

    Syntax: ASSIGN [LETTER=<D> | MOUNT=<PATH>] [NOERR]

LETTER=<D> The drive letter to assign to the volume.

    MOUNT=<PATH>

The mounted folder pathname to assign to the volume.

NOERR For scripting only. When an error is encountered, DiskPart
continues to process commands as if the error did not occur.
Without the NOERR parameter, an error causes DiskPart to exit
    with an error code.

If no drive letter or mounted folder is specified, the next available drive
letter is assigned. If the drive letter or mounted folder is already in use,
    an error is generated.

By using the ASSIGN command, you can change the drive letter associated
    with a removable drive.

You cannot assign drive letters to boot volumes or
volumes that contain the paging file. In addition, you cannot assign
a drive letter to an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partition
unless booted to Windows PE, or any GUID Partition Table (GPT) partition
other than a basic data partition, an ESP partition or a recovery
    partition.

A volume must be selected for this operation to succeed.

    Example:

    ASSIGN LETTER=D

    DISKPART> sel par 2

Partition 2 is now the selected partition.

    DISKPART> det par

    Partition 2
    Type : c12a7328-f81f-11d2-ba4b-00a0c93ec93b
