windows 10 wont boot after i restored an Image to a new nvme drive

to a Nvme Samsung 970 plus
my windows 10 was Installed on my old 850 evo I created an image with Macrium reflect free after I finished Installing windows and all of my programs on it
now I installed a new Samsung Nvme 970 plus and I used Macrium to restore the Image to it restore was completed
then I went to my Gigabyte bios and set boot option to windows boot manager which it was the only boot drive there
but windows wont boot it keeps restarting
I then restored the same image to my old Samsung 850 evo and now windows boot without any problems
but why it wont boot from my nvme drive ?
do I need to reinstall windows on the nvme drive ?
my bios is set to legacy only
but when I checked msninfo32 and it said I have the Uefi version of windows

If your BIOS is set to legacy only, then how is the computer booting from a GPT partitioned drive? Legacy BIOS (or CSM mode) does not support booting from a GPT drive.

Also the new NVME drive should have no partitions on it when the original drive is cloned to it. You currently have 1 partitioned taking up the entire drive.

Finally, you have given us no specs on the computer itself. How is the NVMe drive connected? Does the motherboard support booting from NVMe?

I have gigabyte z170x Gaming 5 and according to the manual my motherboard will support nvme pcie drives
but I don't know if it will support booting from nvme I think yes ?
also I think macrium reflect will format the drives before restoring the image right ?
as for the legacy mode I tried switching to UEFI Mode but still will Not boot from the NVME drive it will just keeps Restarting
but when I restore the Image to my sata 850 evo it will boot fine to windows

I read something on Macrium forums that if you restore an Image from a sata ssd to nvme it will Not work because it's using the sata drivers and you need to reinstall is that right ?

This is what I would suggest trying:
Do a clean install of Windows 10 to the NVMe drive. You should delete every partition on the NVMe drive before doing this and it should be nothing but unallocated space. After the clean install to the NVMe drive, make sure it has a separate EFI System Partition created on it. Make sure the computer will boot from the NVMe SSD into the clean install.

Then using Macrium Reflect, restore only the Windows 10 OS partition over the top of the new OS partition on the NVMe SSD. That should solve your issues.

I've experienced the same problem. You need to clone the image from your old drive to the NVMe instead using a backup image.
