Paid version. I teach my students how to use the free version, though. They're all Senior Citizens, and I find that they can best afford free versions . . . Kinda like myself, but Macrium had the half-price sale, and although I don't use any of the advanced features, it's good to support when I can.
You probably use one feature (Rapid Delta Restore) without realising it.

Reason I asked is I have 5 licences (original and 4 bought in half price sale (which are already half price), and was willing to donate one to my "Favourite Southern Belle" if you did not have it .

A year or so back that feature was inadvertent enabled in Free for one build, so I saw just how much of a speed difference it can make for a restore. It was 'fixed' in the next build, so when the black Friday offer came along I bought a 4-pack just to get it back again.

That's very generous of you, and I'm sure Wynona can be trusted. Anyone contemplating giving away or selling an unused licence to a stranger needs to be aware that each licence key is linked to the original purchaser's personal details on Macrium's licensing servers, when the key is installed your true name will appear on the 'Licensed to:' line in the 'About Macrium Reflect...' info.

I would like to know how a person could check this out....I won 4 licenses long time ago, never bought them. I gave 3 away to close friends on here. I don't think there is anyway to check this on my end.

open the licensed Macrium that you kept for yourself and look at Help > About Macrium Reflect.... Whatever appears as 'Licensed to:' on your machine will also be seen on your friends' Macrium. As I bought mine it shows my real name, the one I gave when purchasing it.

That is not what I asked.....how do you know it shows up on the other persons license.....there does not seem any place to check on that.....unless you ask the person you gave the license too...Plus I DID NOT purchase those licenses.

When you install a licence key Macrium checks on their activation server that this key is not already in use, and if not it activates and downloads the 'licensed to' name from the activation servers. For a 4-pack of licences all four will share the same licensed owner information.

That's why I said 'whatever it shows there'. Mine has my true name as I had to use that in order for the card payment to go through. I can imagine that yours may be licensed to 'the lucky winner' or something similarly generic. My point is that all four keys in a 4-pack would be licensed to the same name.

Well my personal key I bought, so it shows my real name. But I Won 4 licenses 2 years ago from Macrium, and gave 3 away. So I don't think it would show any of my personal info.

If that is the license you won and it hasn't been installed, then I can see how it would be difficult to find out the name it is licensed to.

Do you still have the email that delivered your license pack? The registration info should be included the email, it certainly was for my puchased 4-pack

    Code:
    Order Ref: nnnnnnnnn
    Name: ******* *****************
    Company:

Thank you for purchasing Macrium Reflect Macrium Reflect 7 Home 4 Pack.
Your License code(s) are attached to this email

I found that if you put the MR first download and the second one in the same folder it will install with the key that was emailed to you.
