I've been testing for a long time now. It needed a lot of training in the beginning, finding a ton of FPs. since that time, the newer public-facing build is a lot less prone to find FPs (although I have a running PM thread with Exile360 about how it seems to tag more than its fair share of games....)

The UI is being built with more intuitive feel to it, and it is definitely faster - depending upon your hardware it may not seem like it is but it will be. But the UI is still under heavy development.

I'm hesitant because of the FPs. I think I'll let it cook a little longer then give it a try.

    Concerning the Beta MBAM 4......
FPs I could probably deal with, it's the crashes/BSODs that would concern me. I have enough of random DPC_watchdog violation BSODs scanning memory with 3.8.3.

if you're worried about FPs - then yes, stay away - the private testing was .. well, not focused upon FPs, but FP testing was a big, big part of the private part.

With it being public, there shouldn't be a lot of FPs - but, trust me, there are more than enough. Probably no more than a normal, non-ßeta release at this moment (and there is a method to prevent all items from going to quarantine, and an easy way to ignore all detected items - either once or always - and yes the exclusions section is alive and kicking, so you can add them in manually, as well).

But if you're not comfortable with it, no harm, no foul - you know what's best for you and I applaud you for making an informed decision instead of being like some of the folks out there that are like "Oh, Shiny" - only to get mad later on because it's not a nice, finished, polished, release-ready product.

I tested for well over a month - 0 BSODs.

3 very different machines, all of them older hardware, all of them running Windows 10 Insider Preview Skip Ahead builds.

And, I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the other threads, but I don't recall anyone else having any either. I can peruse the private forum and check if you want me to....

but, again, as I said above - you know what's good for you - if you want me to (check), I will, but I'm not trying to convince you in either direction - do what you gotta do.

    Malwarebytes Browser Guard Release

After a year and a half in public testing, the Malwarebytes Browser Extension Beta testing ended and is now released as the Malwarebytes Browser Guard (MBG) extension. The multiplatform standalone release edition is free, although a staffer has posted of company discussions regarding MBG's inclusion in the premium edition of their flagship product, Malwarebytes for Windows. The Mozilla Firefox MBG version should be published soon, while that beta edition is still available and can be upgraded.

I got it on Vivaldi and Edge Beta when it auto-updated the beta version.
It was not getting any hits like the old version on the same sites.
I removed it and installed from the Chrome Store.
    Now it is getting hits.

I've installed on FF, no mention of "beta" on the addon page, so must be public release. v1.0.47

    That is the Beta version.

The release version is Malwarebytes Browser Guard 2.0.0 and release to Firefox was delayed.

Thanks. I couldn't tell, it had nothing on it to signify beta. It was dated last changed 8/22, so I may just leave it, and wait for it to update. Unless you think I should yank it. I will hold my breath until you reply....... 1,2,3,............
