Without any doubt. Smaller update size, light on resources, Good AV rating. and Defender is just a base line suit it ain't even up on a level to get compared with avast! any way.

I've been a Kasperski user for a few years now, but after upgrading my main box to W10, and experiencing the Kasperski vs W10 Start Menu issues, I tried Avast AIS trial. I'm very happy with it, I love the interface. I have 3 days left on my trial, should I pay the money and make the switch? I still have 2 months left on my Kasperski subscription.

I use AIS and switched from Kaspersky with 6 months left of my subscription. KIS was giving me problems. But the decision is yours.

Thanks for the reply Gary.... I have no real need to stay with Kasperski. I guess I'm just asking if the Avast's protection is as good as K's? I much prefer Avast's interface.

Avast! Free does the work too, No need to pay and well. It's your call. Try around with the free version for around 2-3 weeks and then if you feel like an upgrade is needed you can always go for it.
