    Can't Connect to Some Sites

I am unable to connect to various sites now, including Norton {my antivirus} ebay, Windows Live Mail. I can connect to Facebook, Accuweather, yahoo mail, etc.

Also my Comcast streaming has my location in Boston, tho I am in Pennsylvania.

I have 2 boot drives, and they both have the same issue. Can a virus do something that would affect 2 separate boot drives?

I ran Malwarebytes with no issue. Ran a smart scan with norton, not issues. I cannot do a full Norton scan as it requires a connect online.

Just tried my phone and it seems it can connect to all websites.

    Thanks

When you try eBay etc what happens any error, are you using the same browser on both boots. From a CMD prompt type
    Tracert eBay.com
    Tracert norton.com
    Post results

    From CMD prompt type
    Ipconfig / all

    Post results
Check your host file what does it say

As for the hosts file, it is essentially empty {minus a descrition}.

Yes, I use the same browser, Firefox, on both drives. When it can't connect to sites, I get a time expiration message. Currently that computer is unplugged for the next 2 hours. I was told to do that. I can run what you posted and post results then.

I have a separate computer, this 1, that connects to all sites. Just strange 2 separate drives fail. What do they have in common? Can a virus on 1 drive cause a modem error? Or somehow affect the other drive?

    Thanks.

Very strange. My back-up computer is now having the same issue, tho I don't think at first. The only thing in common is a thumb drive with photos/videos that was plugged into both.

Here are the results u asked about:

Request timed out on both Tracerts.

And this for the other test:

How can my 2 computers have this issue today, yet my phone connects fine? Oddly I got to ebay on my second computer at first, but now it doesn't open on there either.

I said that both Tracerts were - Request timed out, on both Tracerts.

Hey, now suddenly it all works. Someone is messing with me. I did nothing to my equipment. I wonder if it was a hack or something. Can't think of what my 2 cpomputers had in common and not my phpone. Anyway, I hope all good from here.

    Thanks for the help!

Oops...I take it back. The error issue is back. Any ideas?

Just for testing, turn off IPv6 in Network Adapter Properties.
Enable or Disable IPv6 in Windows

Maybe your Comcast router is confused.
