    Do Image Files That Are Uploaded Get Checked For Viruses ?


    Hello, This is only a very vague question. Some people have problems with their browser and attach a picture say a .jpg or a .png. with their posting to forums such as this one..

    There will be a few postings where the user may have something like malware present on their computer . I have read on the Internet that picture files can sometimes be infected and unknown to the user. Do the Windows 10 forums scan uploaded files for malicious code so that readers of the forum are safe ? OR is it a case of readers be aware ................. ?

    not sure if this forums scans files ,probably not. If you just view it it should be harmless?
    better to have some sort of AV installed anyway .
