Have I been infested by some malware called "Kies 4.3.22053.2" ?
Hello
According to CCleaner (Free), I still have a copy of "Kies 4.3.22053.2" that needs to be updated.
I have not used Samsung Kies for at least a year and I don't want it. But I couldn't find it anywhere on my PC.
Even 'Everything' (full local file search by voidtools) found nothing.
So I installed the latest copy of Kies and then immediately uninstalled it using RevoUninstall (v2.3.8), which I got to search for leftovers, all of which I got it to delete.
But having then rebooted my PC, guess what? Ccleaner STILL says that I have a copy of "Kies 4.3.22053.2" that needs to be updated! But Everything (voidtools) still can't find any files with "KIES" in their names (except various references to "cookies"!)
Have I been infested by some malware called "Kies 4.3.22053.2" ?
Any suggestions?
