extend bitlocker protection with pin, usb pen drive, or TPM

Hi, I was reading elsewhere, and not covered by this guide, that I could extend bitlocker protection with a pin and even an usb pen drive in addition to the key stored in the tpm. Is there a simple step by the step guide that shows you how to do this correctly? I was briefly looking at different settings in the local group policy editor and found some relevant options, however, I don't want to try to turn it on without having some guidance. Thank-you.

    Hello windoc,

If you turn on BitLocker for a OS drive, you can select to unlock it using a PIN, USB flash drive, or TPM.

The tutorial below can help show you more details on this. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank-you, I was able to find the information necessary for the configuration I need in that guide.. I have an additional question. In the disk management tool, I noticed that my hard drive is divided into three partitions. Disk 0, partition 1 (efi partition), Disk 0, partion 4 (recovery partition), and OS (C:). The OS partition is the only one encrypted. Is it possible to also encrypt the other two partitions? Thanks-gain.

This is normal. Only the partition Windows 10 is installed on gets encrypted by BitLocker.

The other partitions do not contain any data, and are only for recovery options. You don't want to encrypt them since it could prevent Windows from booting.
