Secureboot is blue screening me on one of my pc's

So i was looking into disabling driver verification in order to test something, and realized one of my pc's was set to "Other OS" instead of "Windows UEFI" thus leaving secureboot/keys unloaded.

I changed it to Windows UEFI (which the OS is installed as UEFI/GPT) and immediately bluescreened after exiting the bios.

    I get

    Code:
The operating system couldnt be loaded because the digital signature of a file or one of its dependencies couldnt be verfied.
    File:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\asstahci64.sys
    Error code: 0xc0000428
do i have a way around this? changing out that driver then re enabling it or something?

    solved.

had to disable secureboot. roll back the drivers for the offending driver to generic and delete it from the driverstore (just the rollback didnt work) and then re enable secureboot.

ironically the driver says its "signed" but microsoft doesnt seem to think so. tried to install it again after enabling secureboot which led to the same situation and more wasted time. the board is old (crosshair v formula z) so it is what it is.

the driver is authenticode signed which might be where the hang up is.

Another trial and error step is to update bootmgr.
