    I can't uninstall store apps, sometimes error 0x80073cfa

    I can't uninstall store apps and sometimes I received the error 0x80073cfa. The errand apps stay in the Start Menu also. Since I tried to uninstall the specified apps, they will no longer open. I can't even re-install them. Is this a MS Store bug? All this is happening in a new local user profile I created.

    Yeah, sorry to say the troubleshooter didn't identify anything.

    I tried to uninstall the apps from the Start Menu, the Settings -> Apps manager, and the PowerShell. All failed.

    I'll try the links to the 3rd party apps you provided to see if that works. Have you ever tried those apps to determine if they actual do what they say?

    These?

    • Psexec by Sysinternals;
    • DB Browser for SQLite.

    the technical hint common to both links related to your error number is

    I found that the IsInbox flag for built-in apps had appeared in the local system base for Windows apps since Windows 10 Anniversary update (1607). When trying to remove a built-in app with the IsInbox flag enabled, the error 0x80073CFA appears.
    I've not had to deal with this, but have used - as many do- Sysinternals (now MS) tools, so can only point you in this direction,

    Was the flag set? Do you see the same in your original account?

    If so, you may need to do an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all apps, progs, data and most settings.

    I found the apps I wanted to remove in the list but the flag was already set to 0. I attempted to flip the flag to 1 then back to 0, but I received a error from the DB tool. I then booted into repair mode for the profile but it found nothing to do. Lastly, I booted into safe mode, but again I was unable to remove the apps. I give up. Windows 10 is sure enough a well protected OS. Microsoft doesn't want anyone modifying the system, not even God Himself.

    Yep, same here. I'm trying to remove Edge and the SQL DB tool is giving me this error:

    ---------------------------DB Browser for SQLite---------------------------Error changing data:no such function: workid---------------------------OK ---------------------------
    I'm following instructions on removal from here.

    Any idea?
