I changed it to myself, but reverted it back to TrustedInstaller once I realized that that might be the cause. The damage might have already been done however...
I just tried your suggestion regardless and the problem persists.
What if I do want to type in a password every time my computer is locked or wakes up from sleep though? Doesn't that registry line just make my system less secure in a general sense?
Whenever I put my computer to sleep and try to wake it up again, I can click the screen or press a button on my keyboard to access the login screen, but there will not be a password box that shows...
