I use Outlook 2010 with Gmail and am happy with that combination. I'm not looking to change my email programme.

Sorry, that's not working for me.
My URL:mailto protocol was previously set to Outlook. I could only change it to Outlook, Mail or Chrome. I tried Chrome, but this made no difference.
Wow - can't believe I couldn't work that out .... thanks - looks great (and simple) .... now I have a decision on whether to go back to Edge or not - only reason I currently have for not going back...
I managed to solve it.
Make sure ALL machines and devices for the home group are switched off, then start your main PC and you should be able to create a new homegroup :)
