I've seen Windows 10 Pro OEM license for $99. That would be how you would do it without going back to Windows 7.

The only way to get Windows 10 on it for free is to install a Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 on it and have that activated. You don't need to do the updates for any of those once you have installed one of them...
