Think about it, Jeff. :) Microsoft is standing there with a free upgrade in one hand and a DVD costing $40 in the other, weighing his options . . . Ummm, which option do you think he'll take? :)
...
Four would do quite nicely for me; however, I'd be willing to give up a couple or three 7s that I no longer use.
Chuck, it's been my experience that we can't upgrade to the RTM from the TP. Couldn't in Windows Vista, 7 or 8/8.1 public previews, so I'm guessing we won't be able to in 10.
Curiosity kilt da cat, Dockmaster . . .
Are you going to upgrade the Windows 7 hard drive to Windows 10?
You should hear my daughter mimic Minnesotans! She's so funny! I have a granddaughter who had lived there for some years.
Since I'm a "southern woman - Texas", <blush> Why, thank you kind sir. ;)
OK, you win! :)
Umm, yeah, Cliff. That's why Winuser posted the Wikipedia article.
An' yuh don' wanna start a dialect war over hyar in Texas! :)
I've heard "bite the bullet" all my life, Miles. To me it means, "I may not like it, it ain't gonna be fun, but it's something that's gotta be done."
Which is what I did with letting Build 10041...
Nah, he gonna blow his jaw off! :)
Me too. At least two copies/licenses.
OMGoodness! That told me a lot more than has been reported in these forums!
Release "before the end of the year"? Doesn't look like a June release to me.
I'm sure he meant DVD, since Windows...
Yeah, it looks more and more like they gotta. :)
Yep, especially since there're a lot of folks still on Windows XP and MS has said no free upgrade for them. There will also be many folks whose systems will croak on them, if not sooner, then later....
Sure they will . . . it's called money. :) I'm pretty sure system builders have plenty of ways to get the update for their clients.
Jeff, if what I've been told is true, there won't be a DVD. :( Download only. And who's to say what that'll be.
I confused the poll completely! I voted my favorite to be Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 because I like them all equally. Who'd a thunk I'd ever like Windows 8.1 all that much. :)
