After power fail - boot straight to desktop

I'm putting a computer at a remote location at which it might suffer an occasional power failure at the site and will possibly result in the machine having to restart when the power comes back on.

And the boot needs to go straight to desktop, no stopping at any screen beforehand.

Because I do not need to be driving 50 miles to hit any key.

And the remote desktop won't be functional until I do that.

How does one set that up?

Already does that, am looking to disable the "your device did not shut down properly, select option" screen for when it reboots after the power comes back on.

Doesn't it select "Start Windows normally" after a time out?

Turn on after a power failure is an option on BIOS, mine has it, but not all computers does.

There's a setting on the Boot tab in the BIOS, that says something like "Wait for 'F1' if error".
I think you need to disable that.

I believe that, when enabled, that causes the computer to wait at the BIOS splash screen for user intervention.

Approaching this from a different angle:

If the power failures are not of an extended duration, you might consider connecting the PC to a UPS so that the system does not even go down in the first place.

Hey, that's an excellent idea, thanks much! They're installing a new landline or something nearby, so sudden power outages have been plaguing my area in the last two weeks or so (they are that fast, yes...). Will try to set this up!
