    Did you try a CMD restart?
    shutdown /r /t 00

    If that method of restart is successful, you will have to explain the technical difference between the 2 restart methods.

    That Command Prompt hasn't worked either since my problem first occurred.

    (Shutdown from any method does work though)

    Hi Paul, do you have Fast startup enabled?

    Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10

    Megahertz just got me thinking about the differences between shutdown & restart, when restart suffers this black screen issue.


    Paul, from an Administrative Command Prompt, could you enter the following and post results?
