is hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling really worth?

I have a Turing GPU,Intel 10th gen CPU, and Windows 10 1803 version. I am wondering is it worth to upgrade windows to latest version, and turn on hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling? Will it improve my fps of games? if so of which games? new or old games? if so by how much? has anyone tested gaming performance after turning on hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling fairly recently?

I don't game any more, really. And these days, with the hardware we have now, I don't think it really matters.
I think this was just added for very low end gaming devices.

Easiest way to check is get a graphics benchmark like.... Unigine Heaven or Valley or SuperPosition, and test it out.

    UNIGINE Benchmarks

/edit You really should fill in your System Specs.

Thanks for the reply. I have to update to test it. The latest build seems not that stable to take a risk to update.

Well, 1803 will reach the end of servicing on Nov. 12th 2020. If you are really worried about the latest Windows version (2004), just get Microsoft Support to do an "upgrade" to 2004, via screen sharing.

If you want to be doubly safe, make a Macrium Reflect 7.x (free) backup, and THEN get Microsoft support to upgrade you to 2004. Then if anything does go wrong, you can just use Macrium's bootable Media to restore from your backup.

Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

If you decide to start using backup software, aka, Macrium Reflect, here's the tl;dr pictorial directions for making a full OS image backup.

/edit Obviously you can choose w/e partition on your storage drive that suits. In my case that was the G: partition. Yours will be different ofc.

I don't have that option despite having an NVidia GPU on this laptop.

Only available to Pascal and above graphics cards at the moment. not sure about AMD. update the driver of the graphics card.

I can update myself. There is no issue with that. The problem is it's not safe at the moment with all the bugs in latest build. I had to use group policy to disable the update, because it keeps on reminding me to update the OS.

I realize that. I just suggest the MS option because they would be there, on your system to deal with any "bugs"

I don't use as many 3rd party programs or as many functions of the May 2020 build, but I've only seen one or two bugs, since the upgrade to the 2004 version. The only thing I've noticed is the SSD Optimize issue. But that turns out to be a non-issue really.
Optimize does run the TRIM, it just forgets it did, a few minutes later. So until MS fixes that, I just run Optimize, once every few weeks or so, manually.

This is why I suggest the backup software. IF you do go with the May 2020 Feature Update, and you DO have some serious bugs as a result, the backup you made can undo the Feature Update, completely.
