Can't show both sound and wifi icons at the same time

I'm running 20H2, last week I noticed that my wifi icon in the notification area was missing. After a couple days for some reason and I'm not sure why, but I decided to (if I can explain this) I wanted to see if the sound icon was sitting on top of the wifi, I know, it sounded stupid to me at the time, but I was getting desperate, so I put the cursor on top of the sound icon, pressed the left mouse button, and drug it to the side. What happened surprised me more than if one icon was on top of another, but the sound icon disappeared, and the wifi showed back up.

Now, I just drag the two around until the one I want is the one displayed. I'm including a share link to a GDrive, there will be two pics, on showing the sound icon, one showing the wifi icon, both sitting in the same position, with an open spot to the right of the displayed icon, so I know it's not that there's no room. Then there's a short .mp4 showing me dragging the two off of each other. I'm lost, I checked the settings to see if everything was allowed. Of course like I already knew there was no setting that would cause this to happen. I appreciate any and all ideas, because I have no idea where to look.
Below it says Notification Icon's but it's actually a 33second video showing what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the link, I'll do it asap.

When I got ready to do this, there was a statement that said it was best to upload to a secure site (gdrive, onedrive, imgur etc.. and link to it.)

I doubled/tripled checked that, that was the first thing I checked. Thanks. I just forgot to mention it, but I checked all the settings, and everything is right.

This is what I've got in my settings app for What icons show up on the taskbar. But I don't know if you saw the short video I posted, but it shows that both icons will show up, just not at the same time. That is what is confusing me. The first thing I did was check these settings. I have forgoten a lot of information about computers in the last few years, but that is computer 101 stuff, it's hard to forget to check your settings. I don't have "show all icons" marked, because there's a bunch I don't want displayed, But the important one's are all marked.

I followed your advice, here are the resulting pictures. No change on those two icons. I can still drag one off the top of the other, I guess you could say, like you saw in the video I posted earlier. One of the things that's throwing me for a loop, is that I have had my taskbar settings the same since XP or Vista somewhere in there, could even start at 7, but I have always had Show all icons, turned off, which means I've always had the "^". so why all of a sudden like overnight did it start doing this? I checked no updates that night or for a couple days before. I know I'm being a pain but this is one of those things that will make a preacher cuss.

Just wondering- have you by any chance received the News and Interests as a new icon to the left of the caret (showing sun/clouds/cloud+rain as an icon, and then chosen to hide it?

If so, is that when your problem started?
