    1. Booting from a USB device doesn't require it to be 'installed' - why- because Windows isn't running at that point.

    2. You say you can't boot from it.
Can you boot your PC from ANY bootable disk?

    - I assume you know which key to press and how to get your PC to boot from a bootable disk (varies from PC to PC).

    3. How did you create this bootable disk- from an installed program? as a Win 10 installation disk? Details please.

but still doesnt work group policy Device installation missing
Screenshot please, as under Option 1, tutorial.
I have that policy on mine.

Note you also have option 2, but as I said, not relevant to booting your PC.

    4. What happens when you plug in that disk when Windows is running?
And can you see the files/folders on it?

Also full build number of your Win 10 as per forum prompt.

    Thank you for your reply.

    1. I know nothing about yumi so not booting is related to its configuration, presumably.

    2. The policy appears to have no relevance to the matter of the disk not booting.

    3. No screenshot of your available policies.

    4. No idea offhand how to reinstate missing default Group Policies... and if they are missing- what other corruption may there be? However here's what I found for you:

8 Tips to Repair Corrupt Group Policy in Windows 10 - MiniTool

    Hope that helps.

And thank you for your reply.

It might be interesting to see which one you think you're missing.

Otherwise see my previous post and work thru that.

This might be of interest but I have never run this particular fix:

Cant boot from a usb pen get error message-system-repair-ultra-virus-killer.jpg

I read that it's possible to export Group Policies from another machine then import them. I've never tried that either.

I download various versions of Linux for creating LiveUSB Thumb/flash drives to boot for checking hardware and run their included programs such as LibreOffice, Firefox and media player. They usually include GPARTED useful for manipulating partitions or cleaning drives outside of Windows.
