Why does TenForums login not work initially?

I use a password program (Dashlane) that automatically logs me into websites–with the exception of TenForums.

When I open TenForums, a windows always pops up with this message: “invalid username or password.”

In that same window, the Dashlane logo appears in the username and password fields and Dashlane offers to log me in. When I agree, Dashlane logs me in, no problem.

I don’t know why Dashlane is unable to log me in automatically to begin with. This has not happened with other websites so it makes me wonder if something might be different with this website.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Check to see if the auto-fill function is set properly for 10Forums, go to this page: https://How to disable or re-enable Dashlane autofill on a specific webpage or website | csdashlane.zendesk.com and near the bottom you'll see:

To re-enable autofill option, simply choose Fill forms and login info. Remember to choose this option for both This page only or This entire website to get Dashlane to fill your personal data again.

Either one or both This page only or This entire website may not be chosen.

There is another page that can help you check to see if it's 10Forums or Dashlane: Dashlane has a problem on a site. Can I report this? Scroll down a bit until you see the "Why isn't Dashlane working properly on a specific site?" section and go over those steps. @z3r010 or one of the Mods will have to check if any formats in step 5 are being used that is stopping Dashlane, to the best of my knowledge none of those formats are being used here.

I would hesitate reporting this to Dashlane until you hear from one of the Admins. Mods or Team

I would have been more specific as to the browser, but you didn't mention which one you're using nor do you have it listed in your system specs. System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums

One other thing you can do is to clear your browser cache: How To Clear Cache in Every Major Browser

Thank you, Anak. This problem occurs with both Chrome and Firefox. I have checked out your suggestions but can't figure out the issue.
I don't know how to check for the formats mentioned in step 5. How can the people you suggest be contacted to look into this?

cathy this may be a shot in the dark, but on those other sites, do you notice if the "remember me" box is checked or not like the one used here at 10F?
