PC hangs before BSOD; need trace tool that logs to disk

My WIn10/64 Home system hangs up at random times. My only recourse is to reboot. It does this in Safe Mode and in Windows mode with all startup options disabled. Event Viewer provides no useful data. ResourceMonitor is no help because it logs to RAM.

Is there a program that logs Windows events to disk? Without knowing what's failing there is no way to fix it.

    I did.

Hint: "Hang" means the only action the system responds to is reboot.

Sorry your post states before BSOD...

You can create a user defined data collector set to enable on disk logging Using Perfmon

That's a new one for me - thanks. I'll give it a try.

(PS: I had to reboot to answer this post.)
