Are Edge disabling methods different for 10 Enterprise 22H2, or should I just follow a how-to-do-it for regular versions of 10?
PS: I'll be browsing with Firefox (or occasionally Chrome, if necessary) and have Windows Updates disabled.
Once again: try MSEdgeRedirect (free). This ensures items which are hard-coded in the O/S to use Edge will open in your default browser.
Consider: otherwise, when clicking on those, what do you think will happen if you have no Edge?
There seems no point to me in attempting to eradicate Edge for reasons I've again recently stated. Why cause yourself pain trying to do something that achieves nothing?

Guys, thanks for the tips. If I understand you correctly then, it sounds like W10 22H2 Enterprise has no more 'protection' against the installation of this gratuitous browser than any other 10 version. So that's one question answered.
Second, you've inferred (and which I've also seen confirmed elsewhere) that Edge is best 'disabled', rather than removed. Which I can live with as long as it never, ever, tries to run.
BTW, how is Microsoft getting away with this? Isn't this just another instance of their forcing customers to use certain software that got them into trouble several years back?
Did you note my suggestion about using MSEdgeRedirect?
And why even bother disabling Edge? Remove any pinned taskbar shortcut, never click on e.g. a News & Interests or Lock Screen link, and you'll probably never see it.

Further: I just found that mht and mhtml file types can only be associated with Firefox or Chrome by browsing to them via Open With even when these browsers are set as default. They remain associated with Edge- Open With otherwise only offers Edge and IE as options.

An observation: There seems to be a great deal of wide-spread hand-wringing and anguish around the net when anyone dares to mention the words REMOVE EDGE BROWSER. It's kinda like saying 'Voldemort' out loud.
But does anyone actually KNOW what happens if this PUP (which is what it actually is) is removed? That is, every shred of code, every byte, every hidden spell, pulled out by the roots, exorcised, defrocked then run through a garden mulcher and fed to the pigs.
And, Dalchina, it's really no trouble to do this. In fact there are lots of computer users who actually enjoy this sort of nose-thumbing exercise. It's like, 'Ok, Microsoft, you wrote the code but I get a say in how it affects me. So boo sucks to you!'
Seriously though, does anyone actually know of a situation where someone has totally eradicated an Edge browser from his or her 22H2 W10 installation without contracting a lingering skin disease?

Removing Edge is trivial; but if Windows has already purged IE11 (as part of previous updates, or you installed a later W10 release which never included IE) -- then some apps will fail because they're dependent on Edge's IE11 compatibility libraries. This isn't a need for the full-on browser, but web request calling and rendering routines that have been around forever.
Whether you notice a change, depends on your particular apps. What you can try is removing Edge, wait it out and see if anything breaks. Edge can always be reinstalled from the Edge for Business website.
