    I've used this site before with no issues with downloads.

    Older versions of FormatFactory (Windows) | Uptodown

    So far v 5.1.0.0 is working ok on conversions for me. Not tried the screen record yet though.

    Well.Fabler2, I tried you suggested site and had no problem downloading, As soon as Windows saw it, the PUP warnings began. I scanned the file and found nothing but Windows simply would not let me even began the install. So, now I have tried v5.10, v5.1, and v5.4 and Windows treated them all the same. Windows simply won't let install this program. The only success I have had was when I disabled Defender. I could then do the install, but then windows wouldn't let me open the program!
    Maybe what I should ask now is, "Does anyone know how to run the installed program when it triggers another PUP warning."

    I don't know how I can help more. I kept allowing it in Defender and it installs and runs ok. This is on Win 10 and Windows 11. Keep giving it permissions and it will run.

    I tried that earlier without success, but I'll give it another go. Thanks, Fabler2

    One last suggestion is, if you're only using the version I gave a link to, as it's known to be safe, is to disconnect from the internet then turn off Realtime protection in Defender, under Virus and threat protection settings, manage settings.
    Instal FF and run it. Once it's running leave it on then turn on Realtime protection on again and be prepared to give permissions for the program. About three or four times. Once it running ok with Defender running then connect back to the net.
    Not an ideal solution but it should work. I'm only suggesting this as the downloaded FF from the link posted is known to be safe.

    Hi folks
    @Fabler2
    @weybrew

    I've found this site to be OK usually for old software versions.

    Old versions of Windows, Mac and Linux Software Downloads & Abandonware Games - OldVersion.com

    I'm running ICOFX - the last free version -- regularly on W11 without issues -- software for creating custom Icons - which I downloaded from that site.

    cheers
