Windows update persist to download AMD64 instead of X64

I have a laptop that is Intel based chipset and Nvidia GPU , ever since 1709 update and all cumulative updates being downloaded are the amd64 version of the update , 50% of the time the update downloads and fail to install and just attempt to do the very same thing again and again till I research the Intel X64 version of update and install it manually , funny that the other 50% the amd64 bit update succeeds to install ..
Any idea how i can convince windows the laptop is Intel Based again ?

I do believe that since AMD own the rights to the X64 instruction set, and license it to Intel. x64 is often referred to as AMD64 even when being used on Intel CPU's. Seeing AMD64 in the description may not actually mean its for an AMD chip.

In a Intel base system you will find dozens of AMD64 things.

AMD and Intel got together and made a deal with the 64 bit systems.

    Example. My system.

    This is just a few.

I really don't mind the 50% that manages through , its the ones that don't and require the X64 bit version to install , those are even bandwidth consuming , it can persist downloading a 480 mb commutative update and fail to install it 30~40 times over night !
mind you why would they release a different x64 bit version with a different file size for every one of these updates if they were the same thing , they could just go : AMD64-X64 per update and call it today .

Like Jack and alphanumeric posted before.. in this case AMD64 are not AMD drivers, but 64bit versions of programs.
