I've never had a problem with office 2010 updates. Why don't you want the updates?

Im on a SSD , and you must not "overcrowd" it, so I put the 2010-folder on a different partition ( HDD).This folder is about 45MB.
Im only using the Picture Manager from Office 2010 , why should you take all the updates , too much space waisted/useless .
Anyway will try SP2 only , with an installer from MS, about 303MB ( KB2687463), will let you know.............

Ok update...just installed the SP2 over Office 2010 ( SharePointDesigner) and it brought me from 240MB ( Picture Manager without any updates) to..........2.91GB !! I did this fortunately in a virtual machine so went back to "normal" soon.
How in the world want someone spent about 3GB for the Picture Manager ...........???
And this ; "There is no way they would be improving a seven year old product." !
