Windows update error.How do I block this update????

Hi,

This update is causing problems.
2017-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for amd64-based Systems (KB4048955)

I restart and then after it boots up I get this message:

We could not complete the updates. Undoing changes


How do I block this certain update please?. Thank you.

Have a look in the tutorial section to reset the windows update settings. worth trying i reckon :)

but it does not work. still the same error message.,

Have you tried updating with your anti virus turned off? some block system file changes. In terms of turning this one update off, im not fully sure how you do this. Was back in the day where you right clicked on the update and selected hide update, not too sure if thats still able to be done but sure someone will jump on and advise :)

i don't even have an anti virus and windows defender is disabled (its not working)

Wonder if its possible that a disabled/not working defender could be the cause? A quick google search didnt suggest this to be the case but thinking of all the variables lol :)

I have created a batch script to reset Windows update components to there default settings. Execute the batch script as a administrator. Before executing the batch file save and close all running program because you will have to restart your computer.
