Windows 10 update 1709 error when waking from sleep

    Hi guys,
since updating to Windows 10 1709 I get a weird video issue - vertical dotted lines, the mouse is still visible as vertical stripes, when waking from sleep mode. It is a desktop machine, I am using an Intel HD graphics 530 and have downloaded and installed the latest driver - 22.20.16.4815. The problem still exists, any suggestions

Thanks Dalchina for the quick reply. I followed the link you posted and have read the comments, however I'm not sure what this means, does the fault lie with Intel or Microsoft and do I wait for an update - hopefully one of them is working on it.

Hi, MS supplies drivers according to a database - I believe- which must cover a vast range of possible configurations.

If you find their driver version causes a problem, you may find and download a suitable one. In a few cases people have to get e.g. the graphics driver used with the previous build of Windows. Where there is a problem related to the driver version, 'the latest' may be the problem, not the solution.

So you can look at those links and see if they give you a hint, download and try a different driver.

If you download a different/older driver, you need to then protect it from being updated by MS - a tutorial here applies related to hiding updates.

Example: I, and others, found that one finger scrolling using my touchpad, and chiral (circular) scrolling was not working. I've used a driver from 2016 to reinstate those functions.

If you resolve the issue thus, please report it e.g. via the Feedback Hub app. MS needs to receive reports.

I have not been able to find a solution, tried updating various drivers etc, this has not been successful so I have turned off the PC power/sleep mode. I will keep an eye out for a solution if I ever find one

On my Core-i5 6500 desktop running Intel HD Graphics 530, I had display issues just like Runestaff's today, after installing Windows 10, build 1709.: My display showed a fixed pattern of vertical dotted lines, with the cursor as a square region of inverted video.

Runestaff's thread about this problem warned me to suspect my display driver. Windows claimed that my driver was up to date; but the Intel webpages offered me a newer version, released on 11/7/2017. This new overall package describes itself as version 15.60.0.4849, and the driver in it for my display has version 23.20.16.4849. Upgrading to that version seems to have fixed my problem.

    Hi guys,
I have found and fixed the problem I was having with my machine waking from sleep. Thanks to Lyle Ramshaw who posted having the same issue and discovered a newer driver on the Intel web site. I manually downloaded ver 23.20.16.4849 and this has fixed the problem, I have been using Intel's own auto driver detect software and it did still said that driver 22.20.16.4815 was the latest?
