Windows 10: After Fall Creators Update, boot sequence has been corrupted

After Fall Creators Update, boot sequence has been corrupted

After applying the Fall Creators Update, booting my PC shows an old desktop screen with OneDrive asking if I want to save all my screenshots to OneDrive. Selecting "No Thanks" or "Ask Me Later" or "Not Now", displays the login prompt, with the old desktop display in the background. Can I uninstall OneDrive? The bootup sequence seems to have been corrupted somehow. Attempts to fix have been fruitless.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

I was drawing on my screen using Windows Ink workspace and I wanted to save the window with the annotations. When I did, it gave me the Save the window to OneDrive which I had not seen before.

Have you allowed it to save whatever screenshots are available? Maybe once you save it the problem will go away.

I also used my Active Pen to bring my system out of standby and it started OneNote in a strange looking window. It would not let me close it but did offer the computer sign in option. Because this is a new build, we may have not yet seen some options so they look strange.

    Solution, I think.

I did open OneDrive and disabled saving screenshots to it. I rebooted, but, the same problem appeared. I went to the Select Desktop Screen setting, found that it was set to the desktop display with the OneDrive window displayed, selected another screen, rebooted, and the problem went away. Strange, but, whew!

PS I'm still having trouble getting the keypad of my Logitech EX110 Wireless keyboard keypad to go into numeric mode not matter what the NumLock state is. Arrghh.
