Boot problem since Windows 10 update

    Thank you for the reply.
    The idea of wiping and reinstalling makes me cringe a bit. I know that a clean install might eliminate problems, but if the same updates are loaded again as MS offers them them to the OS I would end up in the same situation I think.
    Looking on the internet it seems that other people had boot up problems after updates with windows 10.

    The procedure I posted means you should get Windows and programs back as is.

    For a couple of weeks now ONLY when I first switch the PC on it misses and does not display the windows 10 selection to decide which partition you want to load and it misses
    - you have some sort of dual boot configuration it seems which needs cleaning up.

    Yes, you could play with bcdedit and try to sort that out..

    What examples of boot-up problems are you thinking about? Note - I've not upgraded to the FCU (1709) so wish to exclude issues relating to that here).
