    Updates keep failing to install

I've been trying install some updates, but when I try to so, it starts at 2%, then 3% then nothing.

So far Ive tried the local troubleshooting options, but that didnt help.

Is there a known reason as to why this is happening?

Sorry, I've no idea. I had no problem. There's certainly some history of certain updates that have sometimes seemed difficult to download for a time. But it's not everyone's experience.

If stuck, you can try the manual downloads.

I did the manual download and that worked, but there are some updates (malware and others) and their doing the same thing.

I followed this video: Fix Windows 10 when stuck downloading updates - YouTube and it said seemed to work, but now now its doing the same shit.

Seems like a fresh install is in order.

No worries, chill out, that one took two attempts on mine, it got there eventually.
If you look in the spreadsheet for a cumulative update you will find 140,000 lines in it, something like that.
Because it is cumulative it stalls as it checks what has been done already, again no worries.

No need for drastic measures like a re-install, my Windows install has been going 4 years, good as new.
Was only checked just before the 1709 FCU update.

You could make sure your disk and file system are sound, and you're not suffering a problem a few have seen where the disk transfer rate is low for 100% resource use.
