Hey that's great, but you still didn't say which update did it, assuming you know which one did it. Or if it was a driver update etc. No real info other than you got a blank screen.

Your screen isn't blank - it has a rectangle on the top lhs. Check you GPU isn't bust.

I've just updated 2 PCs to the CU after waiting a while with no problems.

Like Steve C said, you have a hardware problem, not software.

You know - my Azulle stick computer does that connected to my TV as a media player. It's when the HDMI signal gets out of sync. I normally have to switch from HDMI 3 where the stick computer is plugged into to HDMI 2, and then back again. I'm willing to bet that is a digital signal input into the monitor, and it gets out of sync when it comes back on from sleep. Not much you can do about it. I think different brands/models of TV and monitors are more susceptible to it than others.

You're sure it isn't the display driver that became corrupted?

Fully up to date on a bunch of computers here and 2 of them on the fall creator's update with no issues. FAKE NEWS!
It truly is fake news. I am trying to keep my copy of The CU from updating to the FCU. I restored 16299.15 and within 20 minutes it BSOD'd 5 times and it will not go to sleep or hibernate without waking up with a restart.

There was another thread in which there was success rolling back the Intel graphics driver.
See if rolling back the Intel graphics driver has any impact.
