    Pc freezes during updates. Can't complete Windows update


    My computer is Windows 10 64 bit
    Intel core i7 processor 2600
    Nvidia GeForce GTX560Ti 1280 MB
    128 GB solid state drive + 2 TB Hard drive

    I've tried restarting multiple times. It keeps freezing.
    I attempted a recovery but it wouldn't work.
    Attempted to run CMD sfc/scannow and it told me nothing's wrong?
    Can't create a recovery drive on this PC, some required files are missing.

    Ran media creation tool and got a new download of Windows. Attempted to run it and computer froze half way through it.

    Also the downloads have a track record of always freezing at 88%.

    I'm... Not the best with all this computer jargon. I'd really appreciate some help.

    Hi RonnieEmber. Welcome to the TenForums @RonnieEmber

    You said you got the Media tool and downloaded new boot media. You know this is 1703, Creators Update. I assume you then ran setup to get things going.

    You will see in this tutorial you have to disable secure boot and Fast Boot in your Bios. At least it is recommended.

I have a client that states: I receive a notice that I have a new update to install and to restart to complete the update. I restart the computer but the update never completes. I have attached a windows update log to this post.
