The next step did not go to plan. This what I got when I tried to run Check Disk on the C:/ drive.

That should be an admin (elevated) command prompt...

Please see instructions in my original post.. I have the Creator's build, still valid for me..

Or.. you can use the Cortana search bar, type comman.. rt click Command prompt, click the admin option.

There are various ways to do it. You can even use Google to find out..

Once again, many thanks for mentoring me through this. Here the CHKDSK report.

Sorry, 280917 means nothing to me.
    Windows key + R, winver
You will see a number like 15063.nnnn
    15063.632 is latest

The first number needs to match the build of your iso, as well as 32 bits/64 bits.
If you used the MS media creation tool, it should have been straightforward.

You can compare that with that of your iso, which from the Tutorial section here you can do thus:

That was entirely my fault, very sorry. It is simply the date I formatted the disk. This is how my boot disk looks after extracting ISO. I preume that I now need to some how instruct the computer to boot from this disk??

I do not see a "setup.exe" file, or am I looking in the wrong place?
