Microsoft sometimes issue an extra update between the monthly 'Patch Tuesday' releases on the second Tuesday of each month. Often these are not sent out through Windows Update, usually because they don't contain any security fixes, just bug fixes. Those who need the fixes can download the update from the Microsoft Update Catalog, while those who don't won't be bothered by an unexpected restart in the middle of the month. If you want, you can download the standalone package and install it manually.

Note that the KB article for this update doesn't include the usual statement that 'This update will be downloaded and installed automatically from Windows Update', it just says:

    How to get this update
To get the standalone package for this update, go to the Microsoft Update Catalog website.

I get it now! It's not an update that gets sent out because there isn't security fixes. Well, time to download the patch

...or wait until 'Patch Tuesday' all these patches will be in that - and then some. The downside of a manual patch is you download every patch since the original build (this one is over 1GB), in windows update you just download the bits not already patched by previous updates.
