Task Schedular and Windows 10 Updates
This PC is mostly not connected to the internet, so the updates got far behind.
After I had problems for two days of download as requested by Windows 10, from 1511 to 1703, it got stuck with 1607 while telling me 1703 is ready to be installed. It kept on downloading endlessly, can see it on router & Taskmanager and depleting my ADSL cap in the process.
I then installed Windows 10 Update assistant which fix a few things. I then also decide to run the Windows 10 diagnotics for windows update which also fix a few things,
After that all previous downloads was wiped and it started fresh to update straight from 1511 to 1703. This took a bit more than half a day at 2Mbits/s but went through flawlessly. PC now upgraded to 1703, no problems.
On one of the restarts it did run checkdisk and fixed some errors, then continued.
Task Scheduler Win 10-Pro:
I looked at Task Scheduler, and see that its used extensively with hundreds of triggers in Win 10-Pro.
Has anybody got good knowledge of Task Scheduler workings, to see if one can control updates better yourself.
Although you have been given a few choices, these triggers still activated in the background.
