    Cannot update WIN 10 build 10586 getting error 0x800705b4


    I have never been able to run a win 10 update and I would like to get this resolved.
    My computer is an older Dell Inspiron 546 x64 with 8 gb memory. I know I need a new one but it 's not possible right now :)

    I have done everything I can think of, and read everything online and cannot find a solution.

    HI NavyLCDR I am not quite sure. I dont have a disc as I upgraded from win 7 when they offered it free. I don't know how I would do that.

    I just tried the windows update troubleshooting and it says Service registration is missing or corrupt.
    Cannot update WIN 10 build 10586 getting error 0x800705b4-image.pngWhat would a clean install mean? Would i lose everything, or what would I have to replace after installing it? I guess if that is what I need to do I am not opposed. I just need to know how to back up my files etc.
