Ver 1703 (CU) has new message on System Updates screen

After I upgraded to v1703 (CU) the Update screen has a new message that wasn't on the v1607 (AE) update screen: *Some settings are hidden or managed by your organization.

Since this is my home PC, there is no 'your organization'. How do I find out which settings have been hidden?

    Thanks.

*Some settings are hidden or managed by your company - Page 7 - Windows 10 Forums

Please see this 7 page post on this topic.

'your organisation' simply points to what is usually a change in the registry implemented by the group policy editor (not present in Home). I.e. the organisation responsible has an admin who makes the change.

Unfortunately MS makes no discrimination, so if some difference in setting is detected, unhelpfully comes up with this very misleading message. (That's not unusual!)

There are plenty of examples of this without the * prefix in earlier builds.

I think a lot of the posts in that thread (including the first one) are about Education versions of Windows 10, so there may be a lot of it which is irrelevant to this case (assuming we aren't talking about an Education version here).

I have read many posts on this subject and dalchina has prettty much summed up what is happening. These messages seem to be even more prominent in the preview builds of FCU. At least MS makes an attempt to explain what is going on here.

I have not set any polices on this system. It is Windows 10 Pro 16257.1000. I have made some registry tweaks which I think are responsible for the polices listed.

Well, that's about as clear as mud. This is Pro, not an 'education' PC, and the only thing I have changed is stopping 'Store' from updating using GPEDIT.

Things seem to be working OK so far, so I'll let this ride as is.

    Thanks.
