    Security Updates Bug / Bugging

Windows has been bugging me to update my security settings for the next update, Creator. I have been passing them by, but the last time I updated them in the control panel.

This AM they bugged me again -- and -- took hold of the machine. This time the message could not be gotten around. They wanted me to update, taking on the tone "Me WANT --- NOW. Me WANT -- RIGHT NOW.

So I updated them again. But I could not compete. Why?

Because I run my 22 inch monitor in portrait mode with 150% enlargement. Apparently the button needing clicking was outside of my screen area and I could not slide the mandatory update window to get to it.

Finally I started from a cold boot and the forced update screen finally went away.

Is there some way to kill or complete these "Me want right now" demands without resorting to a cold boot?

Will they now repeat the loop or have I successfully complied?

They bugged me about that too, finally I clicked to update my settings. They showed 5 settings I already had in place, so I just left them that way. Then I set a time for them to start their upload of the Creator's update, did it at night but left the computer on. Everything went fine.

Can't really answer your specific question, but I agree with you that they are VERY pushy for you to comply. Initially I thought that the Creator's update was optional (and I had no interest in it).....but soon realized that it was mandatory in Windows 10.

Yeah. If I enjoyed being bossed around like this I would have stayed married.
