    Another Creators Update Failed Person

I tried using creators update through windows update assistant= FAIL
    a) can't remember what happened

I tried updating using media creation tool on USB= FAIL
    a) It installs to 100% says computer will restart but then it exits program and says "Windows Installation Failed" in a pop up box

I tried updating through normal Windows Update = FAIL
    a) It downloaded then went to restart and it wanted to configure updates but nothing happened when restarted it just booted back to normal.

I tried clean boot, uninstall antivirus, disable defender, then USB update = FAIL
    a) I just can't seem to get past the restart phase of the update

I tried running the windows update tool repair
    a) it found corrupt Windows Update Repair Database and fixed it
    b) Still can't update via USB

    System 16 gigs of ram
    i5 6600k
    Gigabyte Z170-HD3-CF
Bios F6 - not that i think it matters
R9 390 8 Gigabyte - updated to latest version of driver
    Samsung SSD
    Seagate 2 TB harddrive

    Current Windows 10 1607 14393.1480

I am very techy person and this is very frustrating as its just an update. It should work.
So the problem is... what should I do... I've looked at so many help sites and try this and that.. nothing seems to get it to work.

When you say "media creation tool on USB" do you mean you used the MCT's option to 'make install media for another PC' and made the USB install media, then used that to try the upgrade? Or do you mean you had the MCT on a USB and used its 'Upgrade this PC' option?

I am very techy person and this is very frustrating as its just an update. It should work...
It's not 'just an update' - it is a full install of a complete new operating system, as big a step as upgrading W7/8 to W10. As such, the upgrade log files should give details of how and where it failed.

What version and os build do you have at present?

I don't really care about terminology update vs upgrade. Its just an upgrade it should be working LOL

Yes I used the media creation tool on USB for another PC. I was actually using a different PC to download the USB ISO.

I don't know where the upgrade log files are I have been trying to look into that just now.
    Maybe google will tell me.

Your setuperr posted earlier is virtually unreadable (and full of smileys). Better to post it as an attachment.

Help in interpreting the errors here....

    Tip
The table at the Microsoft site below lists the most common upgrade and installation errors, and a few things you can try to fix the problems.

Trying That... now... I did the windows re-image and the SFC scan and it still failed after that..

So I will uninstall Macrium Restart and try again.

Hopefully my USB is not corrupt.
