You should load the BIOS defaults after a BIOS update. I have Gigabyte motherboards and don't use any of their bloatware. I just check for BIOS updates periodically and install them manually. You will find Gigabyte only support their boards with BIOS updates for 1-2 years.
    Thanks Steve.

I didn't check in BIOS after using @BIOS to install vF7 as all BIOS was at default anyway. Perhaps I should of checked (?). After reboot HWMonitor software said F7 was the new BIOS.

The reason for this post was after the GIGABYTE - Firmware Update Utility window appeared on the desktop I OK'ed to install but it didn't auto reboot when finished. After about 15 minutes I rebooted & all appears okay. This morning, however, I checked BIOS & it said F6, not F7. Frustrated, I have now completely uninstalled the Gigabyte App Center. Never again. One would think the maker of the MB would have their act together with their software.

If F6 works for me I won't install (or attempt) to install F7.

All appears okay now. I'm not installing the latest BIOS as the update seems to focus on those who overclock which I don't intend to.
Guess it's time to return to business!
