    @roy111

I think this tutorial is what you need.

Enable or Disable Windows Update Automatic Updates in Windows 10

Then you could use PowerShell to manage updates. You could check for available updates, install only the updates you want, when you want, and all OS upgrades could be avoided.

Update and Upgrade Windows 10 using PowerShell

Hope this helps avoiding sudden reboots while remoting. :)

Since I don't know your background I also wanted to mention that you can also setup your own Update server. And all updates can be managed for each and every update for each and every machine individually. But that is way beyond our forums, I think. And you need a bunch of licenses for this too...so it might not be the best route for you.

Just a hint, but it is possible to go this route too. :)

Thanks for your advices, i have simple pc not servers,
i would prefer not to stop auto updates but your first advice
could be an option, maybe i simply do not like win 10 and
    will install 8.1 or ubuntu.

    thanks again!

That was the whole point of my "master of your computer" statement. You are in charge, you alone decide which OS to use on your personal computers. People may give you advice for not to install this or that OS, but they have no power over you to make the decisions.

The thing is, I bet that if you install Ubuntu you will keep it updated. That is the only reasonable way to take care of security and functionality of the PC.

Yes I always keep updated the OS, the difference is that ubuntu and windows 8.1
are stable systems, so if i have let's say "tool_A" in 8.1/ubutntu i'll have it till EOL
in win 10 there's a chance that "tool_A" will be replaced by "tool_B" and my
workflow will get screwed, so a stable (not changing over time) OS, i.e win 8.1/ubuntu, is
more suited for my needs, this is how i get it.

    Vale!
