    KB4022725 install fail

KB4022725 update is failing to install on my Windows 10 creator's edition. Ran the included windows update troubleshooter multiple times, it always finds and "fixes" the same things but the update still doesn't install. I stopped trying to install the update during the troubleshooter as it always fails in the same way...the update downloads, it goes through the install process, restarts but then declares the update can't be installed and then the system restarts again to roll back the update.

I did some searching and found lots of people are having various issues installing this update too.
    What else can I try?

Full time job keeping Windows 10 working...yesterday was spent fixing networking on my wife's laptop (see posts in networking forum). Today my laptop isn't taking the latest cumulative update although it was successful on my wife's and the desktop.
I just tried installing from the stand alone installer, didn't work, as expected.

I went ahead and formatted then reinstalled windows from a fresh version of v1703 creators update made using the media creation tool on a USB drive.
It successfully updated KB4022725 so all is good now but what a pain and so much time wasted in troubleshooting and reinstalling windows.

Having the same issues here ... virtually tried every suggestion I found from MS page. nothing helped. what can I do?

Fully resetting windows with installation from scratch is not an options as it would take me 3 days to get all software in place again ...

Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:

    1) winver (in the pop up about windows > view your windows version and build > type this information into the thread)

    2) sfc /scannow

    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    4) chkdsk /scan

When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on copy > paste into the thread

    5) msconfig (in the pop up system configuration > move the dot from normal startup to selective startup > uncheck load startup items > click service tab > in left lower corner check hide all Microsoft services > in the lower right side click disable all > click apply or ok > do not reboot)

    6) taskmgr (in the pop up task manager > click on the start up tab > click on status so that the column sorts with enable rising to the top > right click on each row with enable and change to disable)

    7) shutdown /r (you will reboot the computer so that it is in clean boot)

    8) perform windows update in clean boot

    KB4022725 and metered connections

I had a difficult time installing KB4022725 as well - drove me nuts - read everything I could. I did notice a little blurb when I kept trying to install it - Microsoft's comment on the impact of "metered" connections. I ignored it - (I have Comcast/Xfinity did not think this would apply to me) - then noticed my virus software complained of my wifi connection being "metered". I looked at my connection and sure enough "metered" was enabled. I disabled it - all outstanding maintenance was successfully applied. Hopefully this may help some people.
