    Successful updates retries and fails


    KB4020102 was updated successfully on 26/5/2017. I usually have metered wifi. Today I connected to ethernet. Same KB is trying again and again. Now it hangs. Please see pics below.

    Notes on this update (as with all) in News:
    Cumulative Update KB4020102 Windows 10 v1703 Build 15063.332 - Windows 10 Forums

    - no reference to a repetition, although certain updates (which have themselves been updated) are known to be repeated.

    What should you do now?
    One possibility might be to download it (link in the above) and manually install (begging the question as to why twice).

    Sometimes the windows updates report is inaccurate.
    To tell whether a windows update was really installed is to confirm that it can be uninstalled.
    Only then is it confirmed that it was installed.
    Click on Windows update history.
    Click on uninstall updates.
    Copy and paste: KB4020102
    See if it can be uninstalled

MS Defender updates from Windows Update in settings fail, other Updates successful, but MS Defender from Control panel can update the same definition updates without problems (why, oh, why? can't I just select and copy from settings? :()...
