Windows 10 Creator Update Error Oxc1900208

I am running Windows 10 Home v14393 on a HP Pavilion laptop that is current on all updates and no issues listed in the update history.

I am running Windows 10 Update Assistant with my anti-virus program disabled. The program validates my system as compatible and downloads and verifies the files. The update begins and runs for a period of time and then displays the message "Something went wrong. Oxc1900208". The Event Viewer does not show any unusual error messages.

I have not received the Windows 10 Creator Update through the normal Windows Update so I attempted to update using the Update Assistant. Any help will be appreciated.

    Charlie210,
Didn't MS warn at the end of April not to use the Software Download for manual installation, unless you were an "advanced user who is prepared to work through some issues"? I believe they said that with manual installation many of the s/w & h/w compatibility checks are bypassed, whereas the system will only offer the CU automatically when it is certain there are no compatibility issues.
Assuming your v14393 OS still works properly, probably best just to wait to be offered the CU automatically.

Thanks for the reply Teeseaeff. I was not aware of the MS warning not to use the Windows 10 Update Assistant. I will just wait until the CU comes through the normal update process.
